1. Design basis & basic engineering 

• Design basis reports, specifications, data sheets and technical documentation 

• In accordance with API, ASME, AISC, Eurocodes, EN, ISO and PED 

2. Tank, pressure vessel and piping design 

• Design of above-ground storage tanks, pressure vessels and piping systems 

• In accordance with API 650 / 620, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3 / B31.1, and relevant BS and EEMUA1159 standards 

• Above-ground atmospheric tanks: EN 14015, often specified as DS/EN 14015  

• Structural design of steel tanks: EN 1993-4-2 (Eurocode 3, tanks) / DS/EN 1993-4-2  

• Unfired pressure vessels: EN 13445 / DS/EN 13445  

• Metallic industrial piping: EN 13480 / DS/EN 13480  

• Where seismic design is relevant to the project, country or requirements: EN 1998-4 (Eurocode 8: silos, tanks and pipelines) / DS/EN 1998-4  

3. Pipe stress analysis & support engineering 

• Flexibility and stress analyses using CAESAR II, ROHR2 and AutoPIPE 

• Support design, nozzle load checks, and load collection and reporting 

• Compliance with ASME B31 codes and applicable equipment standards 

• EN 13480  

4. Process and piping documentation 

• Preparation of P&IDs, piping isometrics, line lists and piping layouts 

• Stress isometrics as part of pipe stress analysis 

• General Arrangement (GA) drawings and plot plans 

5. 3D modelling & digital engineering 

• Intelligent 3D plant modelling and clash detection 

• MTO/BOM generation and fabrication drawings 

6. Structural engineering & analysis 

• Analysis and design of steel and concrete structures for pipe racks, equipment supports and platforms 

• In accordance with AISC, Eurocodes such as EC3/EC2/EC7 where relevant, IS/BS standards and project-specific criteria 

• Execution of steel structures: DS/EN 1090-2  

• Execution of concrete structures: DS/EN 13670  

7. Foundation and civil engineering design 

• Foundation design for tanks, vessels, pumps and pipe racks 

• Soil–structure interaction and settlement assessments 

• In accordance with ACI, Eurocodes 2 & 7, API 650 Annex E and IS codes 

8. Automation and control documentation, where relevant 

• Control philosophy, functional descriptions, I/O lists and test documentation 

• In accordance with IEC and ISA standards 

• PLC programming languages: DS/EN IEC 61131-3  

• SIS / functional safety in the process industry: DS/EN 61511 

• OT/ICS cybersecurity: the DS/EN IEC 62443 series 

9. As-built modelling & brownfield engineering 

• As-built 3D models based on laser scanning and point cloud data 

• Updated drawings and documents for modifications, tie-ins and plant changes 

10. Plant engineering & multidisciplinary coordination 

• Multidisciplinary coordination for greenfield and brownfield projects 

• Constructability reviews and interface management 

11. Condition monitoring & assessment 

• Tank condition assessment in accordance with API 653 and API 579, or Eurocodes 

• Pressure vessel condition assessment in accordance with ASME, or Eurocodes 

• Review and audit of pipe supports in accordance with ASME, or Eurocodes 

• Remaining life assessment 

• Preparation of isometrics with CML markings
